With the Live Position function, you may provide other users in an individual or group chat access to your current location in real time for a certain period of time. You have choice over whether and how long your live location is shared. You can revoke permission to share your current location at any moment. Your live location will no longer be shared once it has been paused or expired. WhatsApp is a fantastic tool for staying in touch with friends and family, whether they are dispersed across the globe or all in the same location.
You can share your position on WhatsApp in addition to sending messages or making phone calls, which is particularly practical when travelling.

Post your current location.
Turn on WhatsApp and enable location permissions in your phone’s Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > App permissions > Location. If you recently opened WhatsApp, you may also enable Location by going to Settings > Apps & Notifications > WhatsApp > Permissions.
Start a private or public chat.
Select Attach > Location. Live location sharing
Choose how long you want to reveal your live location. After the chosen period of time, sharing of your live location will end.
You may also include a comment.
No more live location sharing
Please refrain from sharing your live location in that chat or group.
Launch the private or group conversation.
Tap Give up sharing STOP.
Immediately stop posting your live location in all groups and conversations.
Select Live location under More options > Settings > Privacy.
To stop sharing, select STOP.
Reminder: You may always switch off WhatsApp’s location permissions by navigating to Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > App permissions > Location.

How to use your Android device to share your location with WhatsApp
1. Launch WhatsApp on your Android smartphone.
2. If it isn’t already selected, tap “Chats.”
3. Tap the individual or organisation with whom you want to share your location.
4. Click the paperclip icon at the bottom of the display.
5. Click the Locate icon.
6. Similar to the iPhone, you have the option of choosing “Send Your Current Location” or “Share Live Location,” which will continuously update your location.
7. Select “Send.”
