7 Essential Activities Make Your Hajj And Umrah More Rewarding?

Every Muslim has a heart’s desire to perform Umrah or Hajj at least once in life. Some can afford and pay high to perform this pilgrimage, while some can not afford this. Bless some travel agencies that find solutions to provide the cheapest umrah packages for the public.
Abu Huraira reported narrated that Prophet Muhammad PBUH said:
“The performance of Umrah is expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous ones. And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (pilgrimage accepted by Allah) is nothing but Paradise” (Al-Bukhari)
If you know the main pillars of Islam, you must know that Hajj is the 5th pillar of Islam. First, you should understand the difference between Hajj and Umrah so you do not mix them. Both are the Islamic religious pilgrimage to Makkah (also written as Mecca), Saudi Arabia. Hajj has specific dates to perform, while Umrah can be performed anytime in a year other than Hajj days. Umrah & Hajj can be attended by more than one to three million people. Hajj starts on the 8th day of Dhul Hijjah (the twelfth and the last month of the Islamic calendar) which ends on the 13th day of Dhul Hajj. Umrah can be performed anytime and will take a few hours.
When you are spending so much time and effort on such a blessing activity, you should try to get more and more out of this. We list down some basic activities that can make the reward of Umrah and these activities to a very high level. We hope you will go through this whole article and will gather as many blessings as possible
1) Help Others:
Worship is not only between you and Allah, but if you follow the commands of Allah in normal life, that is also worship. During performing Hajj or Umrah, you will come across many chances when you see anyone else who come from anywhere of the world for this, whether you know them or not, young or elderly, someone may need help in performing the Sa’i (the walk and run between two mountains Saffah and Marwah), performing Tawaf, maybe in touching the Kabbah, food, medicine or any other kind of help even if it is to cross the road. Never miss a chance to help anyone because the reward of even a smaller act is multiplied in these holy places.
2) Obey Your Parents:
Obeying your parents is a very big obligation in Islam. It is said in hadith, whose summary is when you are grown up and your parents get old, do not even say “uff” (an expression of disliking or aggression – ugh) to your parents. In another hadith, it is said that if you look at your parents with love and affection, it will reward you equal to a Hajj. So imagine if you obey your parents and look at them with love, affection and a smile, how much more the reward of this kindness and love will be. This will also win your parents’ love for you and their blessing.
3) Learn and Teach
Whatever you learn and get knowledge of religion, you should pass it on. Most of the time, this is done via mosques. Teams come to the mosque and ask the society to visit them and ask anything they want to know, or they pass on the knowledge they get from other mosques or self-learning. This is the act of great reward. You can do this while performing Hajj or Umrah. If you see someone making some mistake in performing the Umrah or Hajj, you should guide them the right way or stop them from doing the wrong deeds.
4) Offer Eid Prayer
There are two Eid in the Islamic calendar. Eid Ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha. Both Eid has their prayer that should be offered. Offering the Eid ul Fitr prayer is rewarded as much as an Umrah, and offering the prayer of Eid ul Adha is rewarded as much as Hajj. And as the reward of any good deed done on Holy mosques’ premises is increased, the reward of these prayers will increase as well
5) Friday prayer
Friday prayer is very important in Islam. We should not miss a single Friday prayer. If you perform Friday prayer in Hajj or Umrah, that is a very big blessing for you.
6) Performing Prayer Within the Premises of Holly Mosques
If you pray a Farz prayer on the premises of Holly mosques, the reward is multiplied thousands of times. If you are in Makkah or Madina, your priority should be to pray Namaz inside or within the premises of any of the two Holly mosques
7) Nawafil in Mosque Quba
Mosque Quba is one of the oldest mosques of Islam. If you offer the Fajr prayer and go to Mosque Quba and offer Nawafil there, it is rewarded as an Umrah.
